OBJECTIVES

  To keep abreast with the changes in the education system
 

To facilitate discussions on specific issues

  To formulate recommendations and suggestions for the various implimentating agencies.
  To focus on new challenges.

Mission Statement:

  To seek improvements in educational opportunities for women and girls at all levels and through a system of life - long education
  To advocate for increased women's career opportunities and career enhancement, especially in the field of educational researched administration
 

To advocate for the adoption of a policy of compulsory national education, quality education at all levels with relevant and enriched curriculum to cater for individual differences, interests and talents·

  To encourage women and girls to specialize in science and technology, including information technology
  To support educational policies and strategies that are gender sensitive, cost effective, appropriate and equitably implemented

Members of the Commission include representatives from interested affiliate organizations and individuals. All members are welcome to submit opinions, comments or complaints related to the implementation of the national educational policy, private education initiatives and institutional or administrative decisions to the Chairman of the Commission. The Commission will, from time to time submit its memoranda to the relevant authorities and or seek to have dialogues with them.

Activities:

The immediate task of the education committee is to find out what are the changes to be made in the new education system since 1996 to 2001 in the following areas:
