 | To
undertake specific actions and programmes in order to expedite the sustained advancement
of women through the accelerated implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action
and the National Action Plan for Women by all relevant agencies including NGOs;

secure new and improved legislation and mechanism for their effective enforcement
for the protection and enjoyment of women's human rights;
|
| To
promote and enhance women's participation and contribution in all sectors of national
development and to continue to identify and eliminate barriers and obstacles to
women's full participation in the social, cultural, science and technology, economic,
political and international arenas.

| To
work towards securing the increased participation of women in decision making
in all areas and all levels.
|
| To
consolidate and strengthen NCWO and its network by focusing, in particular, on
capacity building and quality leadership.
|
| To
cooperate with the Ministry of Women And Family Development and other relevant
agencies in the implementation of policies and program under the Eighth Malaysia
Plan.
